Welcome to the Leadership Quotient. I’m Dusty Holcomb. And each day, I’ll share a meaningful quote and explore how it applies to leadership and personal growth. Together, we’ll unpack lessons that help you lead yourself and others with purpose and clarity. Let’s get started.

00:00:23.935 –> 00:00:42.835
The bad news is time flies. The good news is that you’re the pilot, Michael Altschuler. Happy Thanksgiving. You know, Thanksgiving’s a day when we gather with loved ones to reflect on what we’re thankful for. It’s a beautiful tradition that fills us with warmth and connection.

00:00:43.935 –> 00:01:09.955
But here’s a question for us all as we start this day. Why does this have to be a once a year thing? Why do we save our gratitude for one day when it could enrich our lives every single day today? As you sit around the table, sharing what you’re grateful for, think about how this tradition could become a lifestyle gratitude. Doesn’t just deepen relationships and lift your spirit on Thanksgiving.

00:01:10.735 –> 00:01:35.290
It can do the same thing every day. If you embrace it, gratitude has the power to transform. It shifts our perspective from what’s missing to what’s meaningful. And it’s not just a private exercise, it’s a connector. Expressing gratitude regularly can strengthen relationships at work, in your family, and in your community.

00:01:36.505 –> 00:02:02.640
Leaders who practice gratitude inspire loyalty and trust. Parents who share gratitude with their children model resilience and positivity. Friends who express thanks build bonds that last. Gratitude, when practiced daily, becomes the lens through which we see abundance instead of scarcity. So as we celebrate today, let’s ask ourselves, why stop here?

00:02:03.135 –> 00:02:27.310
Time flies and life is too precious not to appreciate it every day. Here’s how you can turn Thanksgiving’s tradition of gratitude into an everyday practice. 1st, start a gratitude journal. Write down one thing you’re thankful for every morning or evening. Personally, this is a habit I started about 10 or 12 years ago, and it is amazing the power that this can have on your life.

00:02:27.310 –> 00:02:48.050
It’s changed my life and my entire perspective on life. 2nd share. Thanks often regularly express appreciation to loved ones, colleagues, or even strangers. A simple thank you can go so far. 3rd, make gratitude a family tradition.

00:02:48.350 –> 00:03:17.450
At meals or during family time, ask everyone to share something that they’re thankful for. Thanksgiving reminds us of what matters most. But it doesn’t have to end after today. By making gratitude a regular practice, we can strengthen our connections, increase our joy, and highlight our lives with intention. As you gather with your loved ones today and share thanks, think about how you can carry that same spirit into tomorrow.

00:03:18.150 –> 00:03:34.185
What’s one thing you can do to make gratitude part of your daily routine? Please don’t let this be a once a year tradition. Start building a life based on gratitude today. Everyone you love will thank you. Happy Thanksgiving.

00:03:37.460 –> 00:03:54.836
