Do the deeds that matter…

“The smallest deed is better than the grandest intention.”

Dreams are fun. Big dreams are what move the world and create a new future from the ether. What are your dreams? What are your intentions for the next decade? Year? Month? Week? Today?

What exact small thing will you do today that moves you toward your dream? If the answer is “I don’t know” then perhaps your dreams need some more work if you want a chance at bringing them to reality.

Are you writing out your dreams in pencil?

“A #2 pencil and a dream can take you anywhere.”

Joyce Meyer

The beauty of writing with a pencil is that you can erase anything incorrect when you learn something new and start all over.

When you dream big, you will always be learning, adapting, and evolving based on new information. Better to have your plans written in pencil to adapt and overcome!

Executing dreams is magic…

“The world needs dreamers and the world needs doers. But above all what the world needs most are dreamers that do.”

Sarah Ban Breathnach

There are those days where it is fun to dream. Imagining what is possible is energizing and exciting. But the most exciting day is where you are working on making those dreams come true. The hours go by like magic and the energy you receive from the work is incredible. There is simply nothing better than working on dreams that matter.

To avoid regret you must take the antidote…

“You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.”

C.S. Lewis

I can think of no better way where the old axiom “age is just a state of mind” applies more fully.

This quote is the antidote for a time and place in life where you could look back and have regret over what you didn’t do. Dreams and goals are the opportunity to take whatever has happened, whatever results have come from the decisions you did, or didn’t, make, and turn it into something new and beautiful.

Questions to dream about…

“You can’t put a limit on anything. The more you dream, the farther you get.”

Michael Phelps

How much time do you spend allowing yourself to dream? How many “what if” questions do you ask yourself? How many times do you use the word “imagine” in your self queries? How many of those questions do you answer? In writing?

If you aren’t asking, and answering, these questions, you are limiting yourself. Dreaming isn’t just something you do when you sleep. It is a conscious and intentional choice. If you choose not to dream, you are choosing a life of limits…
