Imagine a world of kindness… What are you waiting for?

“Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God’s kindness: kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile.”

Mother Teresa

Imagine how different your world would be if every person you interfaced with lived with this mentality. What if every person you came in contact with was gave kindness in every possible way? How amazing would that be? You would live a life full of incredible positivity and energy. It would simply be beyond our current ability to imagine.

So what stops you from being this person? What is keeping you living this way? Who knows, you might become the seed of kindness that grows and spreads…

Do you care enough to feed just one?

“If you can’t feed a hundred people, then feed just one.”

Mother Teresa

There is danger in grandeur. Sometimes it is easy to convince ourselves that if an idea isn’t big enough to change the world, then we shouldn’t even bother with it. Sometimes it feels like only the grandest of things truly count.

But that isn’t true at all. The things that really matter happen in the smallest of moments. They start with the simplest ideas, that then grow and take on steam, not because you set out to feed 100 people, but because you care enough to feed just one…

Together, we can do great things…

“You can do what I cannot do. I can do what you cannot do. Together, we can do great things.”

Mother Teresa

It take great humility and self-awareness to understand that you can’t be good at everything. Great teams are built around people with different and complimentary gifts. If everyone on the team is the same, then the team is built with inherent weakness. You need the strengths of others to accomplish the mission.

What are the gifts that you bring to the table to best serve others? What gifts do you need others to possess in order to accomplish great things?

When to start? TODAY!

“Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today.  Let us begin.”

Mother Teresa

How often do we spend our lives living in the past by lamenting what didn’t happen or trying to hold on to our previous accomplishments? Conversely, how much time do we spend living and thinking about the future and what we want or desire? I will admit that I am very guilty of the latter scenario, spending a lot of time and energy on what I think or want to happen. It is a constant battle to bring focus to what I need to do RIGHT NOW and put that same energy to use today.

Our supply of energy and time is finite. How we choose to invest it TODAY will create the future we want but only if we invest wisely. You have to start now. What is the very simple, finite, and clear thing you can start today that would impact the lives of others or yourself? Got it? Do it…
