Are you willing to put in the work to achieve the highest level of results?

“High achievement doesn’t require inborn talent. It requires working your ass off. Period.”

David Goggins

If you haven’t read “Can’t Hurt Me” by David Goggins, it is an inspirational and convicting read. The audio version is particularly good as David and his editor have a conversation between each chapter that adds a lot of context and color to the book.

The old saying, “You can do anything if you set your mind to it,” should be modified to read, “You can’t do anything great unless you are willing to put in the work.” Achievement results from grinding it out when you don’t want to, when everyone else is calling it quits, and when the easier alternatives look so attractive. When you stay the course and build the grit and determination to overcome any obstacle, that’s where the magic happens. Life is a series of tradeoffs; what are you willing to give to achieve what you want?
