“To rank the effort above the prize may be called love.”
Confucius
So, what really drives you? Is it the goal itself, or the journey of transformation that happens along the way? Take a moment to think about it.
Choosing to put effort above the prize is a powerful decision. It requires a willingness to let go of comfort and complacency and prioritize the process of change over the end result. I have found that most people want to achieve their goals, but only some are willing to invest the effort and, in the process, fall in love with the work itself.
Do you find yourself valuing the effort over the prize? Have you ever considered that you might love the person you’ve become more than what you’ve achieved?
