Do you want to take the blue pill, or perhaps the red one?

“Instead of looking at the past, I put myself ahead 20 years and try to look at what I need to do now in order to get there then.”

Diana Ross

It can be hard to look into the future when the present is all-consuming. Most of the tools and systems we surround ourselves with are built to keep us distracted and focused on near-term things, not enable us to get to where we want to be or become who we desire.

Instead of scrolling social media, binging on Netflix, or otherwise numbing the mind with activities that don’t promote growth, take 30 minutes today to answer this one question.

Twenty years from now, these are the things I WILL have achieved.

Yes, 20 years is a long time, and we aren’t promised tomorrow, but do you really want to miss a day of working towards your goals? Who knows, maybe today is when one moment, through an idea, conversation, or effort, becomes the inflection point launching you toward your goal.

Do you want to keep taking the blue pill or perhaps the red one?
