Invest in downtime today, next week you will reap the reward…

“You cannot have the beginnings of a productive week without a Sunday spent in the calmness of the day.”

Byron Pulsifer

What is your Sunday routine? Do you have one defined that allows you to take in the day and recover before the week ahead? (of course, your Sunday could be any day of the week, depending on your schedule)

I like to follow a very disciplined schedule Monday through Saturday, but over the years, I have learned that Sunday is a day that needs to breathe. It needs space to allow for presence and calmness; otherwise, it becomes another day spent striving instead of restoring mind, body, and spirit.

How are you going to spend your Sunday this week? Can you allow yourself the opportunity to be calm and present? Will you give yourself the gift of downtime today to boost your productivity next week?

Don’t think of it as time wasted; it is time invested. Breathe deep and surrender to the day; next week, you’ll be glad you did…
