Change is a gift. Will you receive it?

“It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change.”

Charles Darwin

Change doesn’t ask for permission. It interrupts, disrupts, and forces decisions. Too often, we dig in, clinging to what’s familiar, hoping the storm will pass. But looking back, the changes that felt hardest at the moment often shape us the most.

I can think of moments where I fought against change, convinced it was the wrong thing at the wrong time. I couldn’t see then how those shifts were clearing a much better path that I never would have chosen for myself. The growth wasn’t immediate, and it wasn’t easy. But it was necessary and beneficial.

If you’re waiting for change to come on your terms, you’ll be waiting a long time. What move have you been avoiding, one step that feels uncertain but necessary? It’s not enough to respond; you have to act. The opportunity is already there. What will you do with it?
